Ok, can anyone tell me which emblem is correct? One has black around the outer band and one does not. My assumption is that the one on the cap is correct and the other is a reproduction but I'm not sure.

the NOS cap on my desk has the inner and outer black on it.

One last question. Is the black paint flat, gloss, or somewhere between?
