Upon review of the Marti report for my latest project I noticed that it came with FR70x14 tires. It took a while but the "R" finally registered in my brain as something different that I'm used to seeing on the Marti reports, and I'm pretty sure it designates radial tires.

Am I correct that the R means 'radial tires' and does any else have (or heard of) a GT/CS with radial tires from the factory?

Very rare option. I had a 67 K code Convertible that came with Radials and beleive that was the first year they were offered.

About 5 years ago, I nearly purchased a '68 GT coupe that was originally equipped with the FR70-14 tires. I believe the "Michelin X" was the tire in use that year. As stated previous, a rare option. I have the Marti report for the car in my binder. Very heavily optioned car, one of the highest I have seen. The seller at the time had inherited the car from his grandfather. Essentially a one owner car.
