I'm beginning to feel a bit guilty for all the questions I'm asking! Very thankful for all of the input. Can't imagine doing all of this without your help!

I just purchased a set of plug wires for the CS. The current ones are fine but are not stock appearing and the bright yellow wires bother me. Surprisingly, though, I'm not sure where each of the reproduction wires go. I expected that some would be of different lengths. What I did not expect was that some of the wires have a connector at the spark plug which is straight and some have an "L-shaped" connector. Also, one of the new wires has what appears to be a length of insulating rubber over a portion of the wire.

How do I know which wires should be installed where? My current wires don't have the insulating piece on the one wire and they all have a straight connector at the plug. I looked on the CJ Pony site but no help there.

Thanks!!

Steve

The wires should have the numbers 1 to 8 on them to correspond with #1 to #8 spark plugs. The set I have has the numbers on the underside. I believe the wire with the length of insulating rubber is the #1 wire.

The L-shaped and straight plug connectors are correct also.

Which wires did you buy?

The concours reproduction set made by Kevin Marti has the cylinder number imprinted on the wires.

Here is a link to my web listing for that item.

Thanks Scott and Steve. Of course there would be a simple answer and yes I now see that the wires are numbered. I bought the Scott Drake wires, Wasn't aware of Kevin Marti wires. When will I learn that I need to run EVERYTHING by this forum?! : )

I would not be surprised if Scott Drake is buying from Kevin Marti.

The wires I have are from SD and if you look at the paper tag attached to the plastic bag they came in, I think you will find that they are indeed from Martiauto.
