Correct Voltage regulator?

Hey gang,

Wondering the "correct" style VR for my car. 302 4v without A/C. I looked online but came up short as the ones I thought to be correct (Blue case with yellow ink stamping) they keep showing for v8 WITH a/c....

Any help?

2012 NPD catalog, page 165, lower right corner of page lists Concourse applications.
I don't know 'how concourse' you want to be, Marty or Mike could advise. Some folks (like me) purchase the solid state V/R (much better than the old "points" type V/R) and install the correct cover on it.

Thanks Neil. I am going for, at best "correct appearance" but of course want reliability so I just might utilize your suggestion.

While you're at it, take the time to thoroughly clean (burnish?) ALL connections & connectors in the alternator circuit. Then MAYBE the amp meter will register for you
(if the gage itself is still OK).

Yes Neil, all the gauges read just fine. Honestly it's just because the current V/R on the car is some none original one, and I am finishing off the detail work on the engine compartment. I just finished with the wiring harness/issues so everything on the car works. I just needed reference as to what was correct for my car.. if that makes more sense lol. It is not that the V/R DOESNT work, I just want the correct one haha

I belive that a non AC car would have had Blue with silver letters. AC cars had blue with yellow letters. Neils suggestion of the electronic version is a good idea on a driven car. Just be sure to replace the cap with a tubular rivit like the ones used in the grill if you wish to be concours correct. Marty
