Does anyone know the paint code for the black stipping used on the hood that was orginial from the factory as an option?

From an old thread: Low-Gloss Black Ditzler DDL 9423 (lacquer) (Hard to find) or

Sherwin-Williams (urethane) 1part T1F271 flattening agent, 1 part 1738 (Black)

Neil

PS: the hood stripes are 13" wide

hood stripe question

Does anyone have a photo of a CS with hood stripes? I am currently restoring mine (not concours, but I'm trying to keep the basic form intact), and like the look of hood stripes. Any idea if adding hood stripes to one that wasn't originally outfitted will torpedo the value?

Thanks

I don't have pictures, but I'll offer that it for sure won't torpedo the value, probably won't even reduce the value and if they are done to Mustang specs for 1968 may even increase the value to someone that likes the looks of the stripes like you and I do!
