Wiper motor

Trying to remove the wiper motor. Is there a trick to it?

I think it just pulls off, probably with a lot of force after 50 years.

What would be the ideal thing to do with it once I remove it? Is there somewhere I can send it to make sure it's working correctly? Or replace it?

Why are you removing it? Malfunction? Inoperative?
(I've not experienced a faulty W/S wiper motor in Mustangs in 40 years.)

"If it ain't broke, don't fix it." Clean/paint it externally and reinstall it.
