Herck: I think the probable answer is Marchals. If the original owner responded to the service recall, then the Lucas lights would have been installed. Either would be corrrect for a restoration I believe. Others on this site may shed some additional light on this subject. Prior threads have discussed this issue also. Hope this helps.

hello everyone my question is my car was built 04/15/68 would my car be equipt with lucas lights or marchal lights.

The Marchals were used up until 26 April 68. Your car as stated by Steve can use either the Marchals or Lucas lights. My car also had a build date of 4/15/68 but, was actually built 4/16/68, 1 day behind schedule. When I purchased my car it had the Lucas lights but, I swaped them out and put Marchals on the car. I just like the look of the Marchas better. Personal preference I guess.

Herck, my GT/CS was built on 4/4/68 and has the Lucas Fog lamps. So perhaps the oroginal owner responded to the recall......I don't know.

Anyway I guess either type fog lamsp is all right.

Guys,

Mine was scheduled for a 4/15 build date, and was built on 4/15 "on schedule". It has the Marchal lights, and doesn't seem to have the post holes (whatever) for the Lucas lights. It was also sent to DSO Pacific Canada, who did not by law fall under the recall program.

My vin is 8R01J156316. It seems to me that based on the pull ins and push outs on these two days that it may have been more of a "optional part shortage" for a certain order.

my 390 CS automatic was a Pacific Ordering District DSO and also sent to Canada. (don't have the exact data as the Marti Report is in the garage). It has always been in Canada until I bought it.
