Hello guys I'm adding this option to my 68 GT CS.. they tell me it's a pretty rare option it's the rear defogger... I purchased the motor in the grill first and then I had a wiring harness made to factory specs by a guy from midlife66.com... then I had to find the defogger switch that's a 1968 part only it almost looks like a fog light switch but it has defog on the knob tell me some of your thoughts

My GNS came with this option from the factory. It actually worked quite well on a rainy Northwest Washington day. Looks real cool next to the fog light switch.

My rear defogger looks like this. The first picture is from inside the trunk the other is of the cover plate for it. Not sure if any of the pitctures I have already posted show the switch on the dash or not, but I could probably take some pictures for you if you want. I have a GT/CS 68 with this as one of the options from the factory.

I have not seen a rear window defogger like your before. I suspect it was a dealer installed unit or a aftermarket insulation. Defogger is not listed on your Marti report of options. Was neat to see thanks for posting.
