I am considering selling my GT/CS. I have had it for 22 years and bought it when it had black paint, ripped interior and no stripes and missing trims. I have rebuilt the motor, all stock. It is a 289. I had it fully restored, interior and exterior, about 5 years ago.
It is now beautiful, all stock, correct paint codes and interior. I entered to be in your calendar a few years back, maybe 2009? Anyway, I was the March car. I will try to upload a photo if I can. Not too good and that kind of stuff. A photo also made it into Paul Newitt's book.
I love my car, but with a young family, Im just not feeling like I have the time to give to it what I should. It is not a concourse car, but it is in excellent condition. I've been on NADA but I hear those are not realistic prices. I am not a motivated seller, so I only want to sell it if I can get what it's worth.
Any advice would be appreciated.

Thank you. Not what I liked to see. Maybe I will hang on to it. I would rate it a 2 car. I win most shows and there is no cosmetic damage. Engine is not sparkly but not bad.
It is a 289. Upgraded features are air conditioning and center console.

I just paid 17500 for mine. I think with a decent restore you should be asking around 23 to 26k seen lots in that range and a few others bumping 30k

Mine is a 289 c code, all stock with a/c (functionning)......i paid just under$20k for it in October. Think I got a fair deal. Car may have been worth a couple k more?? Hope this gives you some context.

30k for a C code... hmm....... very optimistic.

For that price you can buy this twice...

Asking 35k Canadian new resto, looks nice (IMHO be lucky to get it)

Nice j code, brought less than $20k...

25k, asking, but a dealer price (deduct about 10-15% for private sale)

Not an exact science, put a price on it if you have a "no sale" limit and see what interest you get. I wouldn't recommend asking anything over 25k, expect a bit less, IMO asking higher will just run people off... list all options (you don't mention any) and disclose any issues.

The link posted in my original info is supposedly off actual sales, which is a more realistic guide than asking prices... but the site has not changed in 6 months...

As for asking prices... good luck to the seller below...
