I am so excited, I have always wanted a unrestored Mustang. The problem is the ones I have found are always too far gone to not restore them. They were only built by Ford once and that is what I want.

I found this 53K original paint C code HCS in Eastern Kansas but it was sold new in Durango Colorado where it spent most of it's time in Colorado dry country.
The mission here is a deep cleaning and repair only what is necessary. The dents and scratches are badges of honor of surviving almost 50 years.
No trailer queen here this one is a driver. What is one more nick amongst the many. She has not run in six year so there is some work ahead. I can't wait!
Marty

Congrats Marty! Keep us posted on your progress getting her back on the road. I need inspiration (read kick in the ass) to do the same with my HCS.

So may we assume you won't be taking Rob's advice on various performance upgrades?:scared:

I try to get one thing a day done even if it is small and some how they get finished.
We have a MCA national in Tucson May 12-14. See you there?

Well it took four months to disassemble, clean, repair and reassemble. It is done and Tari and I drove it for the first time. This is our first unrestored car and I found it a lot more challenging than a restoration. We will be driving it to the MCA Grand National in Kansas City this Thursday. Here are a few pictures I'll add more latter.

Fantastic car, I love the result. The color is really nice and the old paint just looks so right to me.
