Hmmm

Let's see,
Car started in Hawaii, so the owner must have been a military person!
Any bets?

I wonder how many GT/CS cars came with the X code 390. I see the Marti says 476 Mustangs with this engine/trans combo, but how many CS Mustangs. Any ideas? It's gotta be rare...

Probably only and handful. I know the X code HCSs are even more so (I think Bob T's is one of one) But GT/CS and HCS are already rare in their own right

It's not necessarily a military owner. Notice on the Marti the order status is "Stock", which means it was ordered by the dealership for inventory. Mine is the same. Over 40 years, people move around and take things with them, and with international internet sales for the past 20 years, anything is possible.

How many X- codes with a 4 speed? And what are the 390 4 barrel cars coded as?

That indeed "was" my car. Tom is correct: I brought the car to the Car Corral in Hershey, where it generated a lot of interest and comments. Sold it Friday morning to a man from the Netherlands who runs a classic Mustang business. Didn't take them long to ship it and flip it!

I owned the car for 9 years, did a lot of work to it, and had a lot of fun with it. Most fun was driving it twice in the New England 1000 classic car rally. But it was time to move on.
