Can anyone out there tell me why my taillites don't go on when the fog lites are turned on. Any other 68 Mustangs I've had with the GT equipment group the fog lites worked this way. Anyone who has a CS with the GT equipment group please let me know how your fogs work. I may have screwed up when I put the car back together. Unfortunately this was one of the items I didn't check before disassembly. Yes my car is a true factory GT, (Marti report & Ford history 999).
Thanks Joe

My CS isn't a true GT but my tail lights are not wired in with the fogs. Fog switch only brings on the fogs.

Since your car is a true GT optioned car, anytime you turn on your fog lights with the fog light switch your tail lights should also come on. The GT harness is specificly set up for both switch's (seperate plugs for each), headlight switch and fog light switch. Sounds like you may have a wiring problem. Check to see if your wiring harness that leads from the underdash area through the firewall to the front for the headlights and fog lights has any unusual splices. Both my GT 390 and CS 390 had numerous splices in the wiring harness and I had to replace them both. A lot of folks will splice the fog lights into the headlight wiring so they don't have to mess with two different switchs. When I use the fog light switch on both my cars, both the fog lights and tail lights come on.
