need help going to need to replace the starter on my GT/CS 289 hp 2 bl but which one to get their are 3 to 4 of them but which one to get their short ones big ond small but iam at a loss Tom WI

As far as I know, the factory had ones for manual transmissions and automatic transmission for the 289/302.

Remove and take the old starter to a parts store and tell them you want one like it. They'll match it up.
IIRC, standard transmission fly wheels have a different tooth count than an A/T transmission Flex plate.
