This is a letter I received from Greenlight LLC today regarding my participation in their project to develop the 1/18th scale model of the GT/CS and GT Coupe. Thought it was pretty neat that they furnished this to me showing that my GT/CS and GT Coupe were used in their research for the diecast models. They must be getting close to completion.

Thats really cool Don! We are proud of you and your cars.

You might want to block out you`re address on the letter if you`re going to have it on the net though. Just to be safe.

Thanks Rhonda, I didn't even think about that and I'm suppose to be a security specialist. Show's what happens when you get excited about something. This has been a very humbling experience for me. It makes me very proud that my cars were used for this project and very proud to have been able to represent such a fine group of folks as we have here on this site. I think we all will find that the model will be something we all can be very proud of to have and display with our cars as we continue to promote the preservation of the GT/CS and HCS. I would also like to say thanks to Paul for his help in reviewing the proto-type photos to ensure that all details on the model were covered and corrected and to Jon for the fine work he does for all of us here on the site. And most of all, thanks to all here on the site, you made my job the easy part.

Jeeeeez, for years and years I look at toy cars and friends always think they should look for my car...I tell them to fuggetaboutit because there isn't a GTCS model out there.
I just sigh and say I'll never find my car. (sobbing huge buckets of tears)
I was home very sick from work one time and two of my co-workers showed up with a 1:18 model of a lime green 68 Shelby.....I thought that was the sweetest thing to do....sure cheered me up and it was the closest I was gonna get to a CS.
Now my happy day is gonna happen thanks to Don! :thumb: :cheesy:

Nope, I never even bothered to look for a model of my 74 El Camino. It wasn't a very popular year for Elky's but mine was primo condition and I had it painted Toreador Red (Ford color!) with leopard seat skins (woo!). Had that baby for 29 years and then it burned to death, commonly known here in California as a Car~B~Que. I sure miss that car:::::::::sigh::::::::::cry:

Outstanding Don!! Congrats and thanks for what you did on the models. It will be great to have a CS model sitting IN FRONT OF the other mustang models I have!!

Congrats Don!. You should be proud of your efforts and also proud of your mustangs. This type of exposure for our cars is priceless. I'm also looking forward to having a "mini-me mustang" to go along with my CS.
