Paint Question?

I saw in a previous post that the Grill paint matches Seymor Cast Blast color. Does both the foglight posts and the grill opening (mouth) need this same color or do they have a different shades of paint? Can anyone recommend an over the counter brand that matches this without having to get some paint mixed?

I was looking over my two grills and one is satin black while the other looks like an argent color.

Everything is the same color.

I looked for the Cast Blast on the web the other day and found that you can get it at www.levineautoparts.com for $5 per can and at www.americanpartsdepot.com for $5.50. If you want the dark argent you can get that from NPD if you order the paint for the 65-67 wheels. www.americanpony.com also has paint 842410 but I didn't write down if it is the argent or the cast.

I saw the levine site and was tempted to order a can but the shipping is more than the paint. I was thinking about getting the paint locally. Do you know if Cast Blast is the correct color for the posts and the opening too?

GOOD as any and BETTER than most, plus color is as close as we will find unless a judge does an on- site professional color analysis. Bob here.

Why not spend a few extra bucks and get the CORRECT color so when it comes down to it you can say it is the CORRECT color. Originality and correctness are high on my list of likes for these cars. I think I paid roughly $15 a can for the correct color from some place online. I think I bought 2 cans. I repainted a grill, grill moldings and pedestals and should have enough for another set.

Excellent idea. Could you find us the source and give us the brand of paint and color number from your cans, if you would please? Thanks, Bob here

Can't remember the name of the place online but I did write their phone number on the can I have. 215-343-7511

color is PPG 32930

I have used another site for factory body colors and like them a bunch. I would assume they could make up spray cans of the PPG 32930. automotivetouchup.com
