1966-67 HCS 67 HCS Badge Repros Coming

Quick Update on 67 Badges The proof came back. Had to make a couple of minor adjustments. The pressing is virtually identical, and we're currently working on getting the colors as close as possible. I'm on proof #3 (#2 is pictured in the foreground).

I'm happy to put y'all in touch with the company and have them make dies for 66. It's $200 a side for the dies.

1966-67 HCS 67 HCS Badge Repros Coming

Looks like there's little buzz out of the group, but I'm having 25 sets made. My cost is essentially $40 a piece. So, I will be selling them to 67 HCS owners with a Marti report. In fact, it might make a nice little addition to your Elite Marti Report (the framed one). I just blessed off the...

1966-67 HCS 67 HCS Badge Repros Coming

Hi all, So I bought the set of NOS (in the bag) 67 High Country Special fender badges. I opened the bag (sorry) and sent one to a mint that makes military coins and hiking stick badges… ya know, like the ones you see at National Parks. I’m getting a rough estimate from the factory, but I...

http://www.nwtmint.com/ When I ordered my Command coins I went back and forth with artists *several* times (and always relayed through the salesperson), but the final product was spectacular.

Wow. That's terrifying. Did you try Northwest Territory Mint or one of the companies that makes military challenge coins? I've done several coins through them (and they make more than coins). They are full-service. Might be worth checking out. Cost for art and tooling would be in the low...

    1968 390 ci muffler

I have a 390 with headers, stainless steel all the way back, and Magnaflos at the end. Has the perfect sound for me (i.e. throaty, but not like my Harley). I'll post a video if I can find it...

1966-67 HCS 66 High Country Special Fender Badges

Someone had a set of NOS badges, in the bag, posted on here a few years back. I wonder if they ever made it onto a car? Those should be your model.

    1968 Classic car insurance companies

I've had American Collectors Insurance since 2010 (pushed over from USAA, who doesn't do "classics" anymore). No problems. Only claim has been a tow. Estimate/coverage was based on car (67 Fastback, 390) and condition. Don't think I got any credit for HCS.

1968 Need help from the engine gurus.....

When it was my daily driver, I used to pop the hood and fiddle around with the engine after parking, pocketing the coil wire in the process. Thieves rarely carry a spare coil wire.

1968 "C" retaining clips for hood locks

Snap-ring pliers are handy to have in any toolbox. You can swap out the tips easily and just throw a little lever to switch from external to internal clips. It helps to have a couple different sizes on hand. You won't use them too terribly often, but "right tool for the right job" and all...
