View Full Version : Site clock wrong
Mustanglvr 05/28/2006, 09:23 AM Hey Jon, I noticed that the time on the site is off. It is more then a half hour ahead of the time I have on my computer. Also, when someone writes a new post it says they posted it more then an hour ahead of the time I have. I know you are still working out the bugs. It is no problem, just wanted to let you know.
admin 05/28/2006, 12:46 PM OK, should be fixed now. If you haven't already be sure you set your timezone.
Go to User CP --> Edit Options --> Date & Time Options
Mustanglvr 05/28/2006, 05:59 PM It is 6:28 now and at the bottom of this page it says 6:58. I already had the time zone thing done and I just did it again to see if it made a difference but it did`nt.
admin 05/28/2006, 09:05 PM Does anyone else have this problem? For me it shows the correct time.
Mustanglvr can you try doing a hard refresh? (hold the Ctrl key down and click the refresh button on your browser)

BroadwayBlue 05/28/2006, 09:48 PM Jon,
Mine was still about 30 minutes fast after your first post, but tonight it's better, only about 4 minutes fast now.
Rich
Mustanglvr 05/28/2006, 10:25 PM Sorry, it did`nt work, but its only 7 minutes ahead now.
BroadwayBlue 05/28/2006, 11:11 PM now it's 12 minutes fast
68gt390 05/29/2006, 05:36 AM Jon;
I checked mine also, it's 12 minutes fast. That just helps to make sure I'm on time if I need to go somewhere. I have all my clocks in the house set 10 to 12 minutes ahead.
Don
BroadwayBlue 05/29/2006, 09:21 AM Don't want to keep bombarding Jon with time updates - I'm sure he's working on the problem.
But I did want to point out that is says the following:
All times are GMT -4. The time now is 11:19 AM.
It's actually 10:42 AM Eastern time.
I just wanted to point out the GMT -4 mine is set to GMT -5.
R
Mustanglvr 05/29/2006, 10:11 AM The actual time when you post a message and when it says you posted it are different too.
admin 05/29/2006, 10:53 AM Yeah, it looks like the clock on the new server is drifting pretty severely. I keep resetting and it keeps moving around. I'll have to have the tech guys look at it.
admin 05/29/2006, 06:10 PM OK, they swapped servers. Any better now? Seems OK for me.
Mustanglvr 05/29/2006, 09:03 PM Its 9:43 now and the site says 10:02.
BroadwayBlue 05/29/2006, 09:12 PM It's 10:51pm Eastern time.
Server says: All times are GMT -4. The time now is 11:11 PM
Mustanger 06/02/2006, 10:21 AM Yeah, the clock is off here also. The site says: 9:19am, and my computer clock says: 8:31am.
marie68csmustangs 06/04/2006, 12:50 AM Yeah, I checked and changed the settings on my CP to the correct time zone and my time is now, 9:30, the site time says 11:47, I'm stumped..
Marie
Mustanger 06/06/2006, 10:55 AM Hey, it looks like the clock is working again - cool!
admin 06/06/2006, 11:57 AM Yeah, it looks OK....but it could be off again in an hour. Only time will tell!
Mustanglvr 06/06/2006, 12:59 PM Hey, the clock is right! Thanks Jon!
By the way, who has the "Monthly Special" this month?
admin 06/06/2006, 02:07 PM That would be David Athans. I'm hoping to get his info up tonight.
Mustanglvr 06/06/2006, 03:41 PM Great!!!
